1.Anyone of any nationality can take part in the contest.
2.The song entered must be new and original.
3.By taking part in the contest the contestants agree to abide by the rules.
4.If the song has already been released on the market, it must have been published in 2009.
5.The song must not have been downloadable and chargeable in internet outlets before 2009.
6.The song is allowed to have already been on the web pages of the performing artist(s) before 2009.
7.You are allowed to have performed the song in public for example in concerts before 2009.
8.Each performer can take part with a maximum of two songs.
9.Any number of songs can have the same songwriter.
10.The organizers of the contest cannot take part in the contest with their own songs.
11.Those taking part in the contest are responsible for all costs involved in producing the songs.
12.Those taking part give the right to the organizer of the contest to present the songs on the web pages of the contest. The organizer of the contest is not responsible for illegal copying and spreading of the participating songs.
13.The amount of voting rounds and the methods will be determined by the organizer of the contest.
14.The song entered must not be insulting or abusive in a religious, political, racist or in any other sense.
15.The organizer of the contest has the right to remove any song from the contest when sent or already taking part in the contest. The sender of the removed song cannot in that case claim any compensation regardless of the stage when the song is removed.
16.The winner of the competition will receive a money prize, the amount of which depends on the number of votes cast. Also, dependant on the number of votes cast, the second and the third may receive a money prize, and whether or not a prize is awarded and then the amount, will be related to the number of votes cast.
17.Those winning a prize will be required to advise the organizers of the contest how they wish to share the prize between the writers and performers of the song. If they cannot agree, the organizers of the contest will resolve the situation after seeking expert advice.
18.A pre-tax will be deducted from a prize payable to a private person. No other monies will be paid to those taking part in the contest.
19.The organizer of the contest has made an agreement with a copyright body in the country of origin of the contest regarding copyright payments in relation to the contest. Regarding other countries, the organizer of the contest will hold negotiations when more participating songs enter the competition. However, in each case the sender of the song entered is responsible for ensuring that the entry is not in a conflict with the copyright law of the country from where the entry originates.
20.If the competition is abandoned due to unforeseen technical difficulties or a virus attack on the internet or for any other unpreventable reason, the amount of prize money already announced will be donated to a chosen internationally respected charity. As the majority of expenses occur at the start of the contest, no other voting income will be reimbursed.
